On a day of blue skies
The clouds made by man
Tear at a billion eyes
Hearts breaking all over
A world mourns the loss
Of illusions of invincibility
A war brought to a land
So proud of it's strength
It's size always before
Enough to protect a people
A dream, a life of ease
Now the blue skies broken
Thunder without storms
Storms without rain
Peace in our own time
Another truth lost
